How to get to us!
By car
From the Rhine-Ruhr area take the A1 motorway (Münster / Osnabrück) to the motorway junction Ahlhorner Heide, continue on the A 29 motorway to the motorway junction Wilhelmshaven and take the exit Jever/Wittmund/Ostfriesische Inseln. Continue on the road B210 towards Aurich. Turn off in Wittmund or Ogenbargen to Esens/Bensersiel.
Or take the road B70 or A31 motorway towards Leer and Aurich. From the northern or eastern states take the roads over Hamburg or Hannover to Bremen. Continue on the A28 and A29 motorway to Wilhelmshavener Kreuz, take the road B210 until Wittmund or Ogenbargen and turn off at Esens/Bensersiel. From the southern states you can take the motorways A7, A45, A61 or A3 towards Ruhrgebiet or Hannover. Equivalent to the above made description turn off at Bensersiel/Langeoog.
Long-time parking in Bensersiel
Park your car in one of the gated long term parking lots or garages and enjoy your stay on the North Sea island Langeoog. Cars and vehicles are generally not permitted on Langeoog!
Take the ferry
You can check in your bags directly at the ferry terminal. It will later be automatically transported from the ferry over the Langeoog island train to Langeeog town.
In Bensersiel you will receive your LangeoogCard at the ticket office, which is also your ferry ticket. When entering the ferry your arrival date will be electronically recorded on the card. This is necessary for calculating the visitor’s tax. You can also use our holiday service and pre-order your LangeoogCard. This will help you skip the queue at the ticket office.
Take the Langeeog island train into town
Upon arrival at the harbour of Langeoog you can interchange to the island train, which takes you directly to the island train station in the town of Langeoog within a short drive. You can then collect your luggage unless you have arranged to have it brought directly to the hotel. It could hardly be more convenient.
Take a carriage to the front door
At the train station you can change in to one of the smaller or larger carriages which will take you directly to your accommodation. (If you arrive with the last ferry of the day, we recommend pre-ordering. See here for more information)
Take the train
Travel comfortably to the island by train, bus and cruise: You can reach Langeoog from all directions. From North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony you can take the intercity trains directly to Leer or Norden, and from there the bus to the ferry terminal to Bensersiel.
Coming from Berlin, Hannover or Hamburg you best go via Bremen to Oldenburg. From there the NordWestBahn (train) will take you hourly via Sande to the train station Esens, and from there you can take the bus to Bensersiel.
Guests coming from Münsterland can also take the NordWestBahn and the KüstenExpress will take you to the sea. Here too, you have to change in Sande into the NordWestBahn to Esens, and from the train station Esens you can take the bus to Bensersiel.

The routes Bremen – Oldenburg – Wilhelmshaven, Osnabrück – Oldenburg – Wilhelmshaven, Osnabrück – Delmenhorst – Bremen and Wilhelmshaven – Sande – Esens are operated by the NordWestBahn.
